About This Event
Our Environmental Design Competition comes to MSU - Mankato in March 2026!
As a Design Competition, students will assume the roles and responsibilities of professional engineers, and respond to an industry-equivalent Request For Proposal (RFP).
Our Enviro DC event will be themed around solving geo-engineering challenges - encouraging students to understand the complexities of environmental science and engineering, as well as design trade-offs and constraints.
As a middle-school event, students will work in small groups, with clearly defined learning activities and milestones across the day. We provide exposure to what's possible in this exciting field, and challenge the students to strive for what's possible!
Cost To Participate
$35. Will include all facilities, equipment, and meals across the day
Event Schedule
9am: event kick off. Introduction to Design Competitions,
9:30am: students form their aerospace companies!
10am: students receive the Request For Proposal (RFP) and start work!
12-1pm: rolling lunch break
1pm: student presentations commence
2pm: event concludes

Both teams / school groups, and individual students, are welcome to attend
