About This Event
Our Space Design Competition comes to Colorado in February 2026!
As a Design Competition, students will assume the roles and responsibilities of professional engineers, and respond to an industry-equivalent Request For Proposal (RFP).
Our Space DC event will be themed around solving futuristic in-orbit or solar-system-wide engineering challenges - giving students a foundational view of the complexities of aerospace engineering and humanities future in space.
Ultimately, all participants will walk away with a clearer view of what's involved in this exciting field, and options for future career pathways.
Cost To Participate
Due to subsidies received to support this event, we are offering attendance at $15. This is an amazing opportunity for all STEM School students!
Event Schedule
9am: event kick off. Introduction to Design Competitions,
9:30am: students form their aerospace companies!
10am: students receive the Request For Proposal (RFP) and start work!
12-1pm: rolling lunch break
3pm: students present in front of a panel of judges
4pm: event concludes
